Culture
Our multidisciplinary staff of architects, engineers, project managers, designers, constructors, estimators, and administrative personnel includes team members who've been with us for over three decades, people who are just starting their careers, and others who left the company only to return later. As a result, we draw upon a blend of proven experience and youthful energy to stay on the cutting edge of design, and our customers know that we'll be around to serve their needs for years to come.
If you're eager to take on challenging, rewarding work in a fun, fast-paced, and productive environment, then we're the place to be.
Social Opportunities
Caring about our customers begins with caring for ourselves. We promote a healthy balance between stewards' professional and personal lives, taking time to appreciate our work and celebrate our achievements.
Activities throughout the year include our Christmas party, summer family barbecue, golf tournament, group excursions in the spring and fall, biannual levees, potlucks, and various fundraisers. Stewards also have the opportunity to join our social club, health and safety committee, staff council, CAD standards committee, or take part in our Canstruction® design team.
Diversity
TWFP's staff reflects the strong diversity of the Waterloo Region, and it's not due to any plan or strategy. We simply look to hire the best and brightest, regardless of ethnicity or gender. A candidate's skills, experience, and ability to fit in with our team are much better indicators of their potential as a member of our firm.
We've very proud of our staff retention rates, which stem from a fun and productive working environment and challenging, rewarding work.
Environmental Responsibility
Our emphasis on sustainable design solutions stems from our personal concern for the world we all share. TWFP takes part in the annual Commuter Challenge, and stewards—led by our many LEED® Accredited Professionals—are encouraged to make environmentally responsibly choices in their home lives.
Social Responsibility
We are highly active in our community on both a corporate level and as individuals, contributing as sponsors, supporters, directors, officers, and volunteers with a wide variety of organizations such as:
- Conestoga College
- eyeGO to the Arts
- Food Bank of Waterloo Region
- Greater KW Chamber of Commerce
- Junior Achievement of the Waterloo Region
- Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony
- Rotary Club of Waterloo
- Prosperity Council of Waterloo Region
- United Way KW & Area

Our goal is to promote Waterloo Region as a desirable place to live and work, augmenting our world-renowned technical prowess and entrepreneurial spirit to create a truly creative community.
