Commissioning Services

Commissioning is the systematic process of ensuring that a building's complex array of systems is designed, installed, tested to perform according to the design intent and the building owner's operational needs. It also ensures that owners are ready and capable of maintaining the building in optimal condition. Commissioning isn't just a prerequisite for LEED buildings or a requirement for Health Care Facilities:  The process is suitable for new construction, equipment upgrades, existing facilities that have never been commissioned (retro-commissioning), and as a regular maintenance process (recommissioning).

 Benefits of Commissioning:

  • HVAC systems will operate under optimal conditions
  • Better indoor environmental quality, and fewer occupant complaints
  • Reduced operating and maintenance, better training and close out documentation.
  • Documentation with benchmarking and set-points for building automation systems

As an organization, TWFP has been commissioning buildings since 1996. Over this time we have confirmed the benefits of providing commissioning for renovations and new construction projects. We have commissioned a variety of different building types including commercial, institutional and industrial. The commissioning group has full access to the mechanical and electrical design groups, ensuring an up to date knowledge base of the latest and greatest trends in mechanical and electrical systems.
