PROJECTS
Adaptive Reuse

Manulife Square
TWFP transformed the second floor of an existing downtown shopping mall into office space for 600 Manulife Financial employees. The process, from design through to occupation, was completed in an amazing four month period. The modern atmosphere of the bright office area begins with a dramatic entrance and carries through to meeting spaces, the contemporary finishes in the cafeteria, and the vibrant colours of the servery. Chat stands provide opportunities for casual conversation, while satellite work stations provide alternate meeting areas.

Two years later, TWFP continued the project's success and worked on another extremely aggressive schedule to renovate the main level of the shopping mall. In addition to an open concept office plan; a network of power, data and communications; and new lighting and HVAC, we created a spectacular front lobby and exterior entrance that present a strong corporate identity and welcome Manulife customers.

TWFP's relationship with Manulife includes adaptive reuse of a manufacturing facility into administrative space, and the floor-by-floor revitalization of the firm's Waterloo head office. Most recently, we acted as project managers for the renovation of an office building in Halifax.
