Conestoga Cold Storage
TWFP's solid relationship with Conestoga Cold Storage (CCS), began with their Kitchener cold storage warehouse in the late 70s. Since that time, we have designed additional facilities in Calgary, Kitchener, Mississauga and Montreal, and provided services for ongoing renovations on an as-needed basis.
At CCS's unique Mississauga cold-storage facility, the eighty-five foot high storage racks serve to store frozen food as well as to support the building itself. Six-hundred-feet long in total, built in two phases each measuring 600 ft long x 50 ft wide, the storage facility is an example of combining technological advancement with maximum use of space to increase productivity. Four crane aisles allow computerized cranes to add and remove product efficiently. Both the high-rack structure and computer systems are designed to operate under temperatures of -10 degrees Fahrenheit. The high-rack section of the facility has over 25,000 pallet positions. In order to serve the high-rack buildings, a total of 32 loading doors and associated staging area was added.
A third high-rack addition is currently under construction.
