General Motors Truck Plant
Since 2002, TWFP has provided architectural and engineering services to General Motors of Canada (GM)'s Oshawa Autoplex for numerous infrastructure changes ranging in size and complexity.

Our work at the GM Truck Plant involved complete architectural and multidisciplinary engineering services for a large-scale expansion and rearrangement, including additions to the body shop, general assembly area, and an office/cafeteria addition, as well as multiple rearrangements of process equipment within the existing body shop. We also performed non-process demolition work, site work, and plant-utility system work, with internal rearrangements taking place in a phased approach. The expanded plant continues to produce trucks based on the GMT 800 platform, and now has the capability to produce the GMT 900 platform.

Our other GM projects include: addition and renovations at Oshawa's Car Body Assembly Plant, Car Final Assembly Plant, Paint Shop, Stamping Plant, Canadian Regional Engineering Centre and Canadian Headquarters, as well as working at the Kapuskasing Cold Weather Development Centre and the Ingersoll Cami Automotive Assembly Plant. Our work includes fuel fill modifications, panel replacements, retaining walls, parking expansions, process islands, hoist rails, conveyors, chiller mezzanines, lift tables, carrier platforms and loading-dock renovations, as well as cafeterias and washrooms.
