TWFP completed the site servicing, grading and stormwater management designs for this residential development. Our team also tendered grading and servicing contracts and provided contract administration and inspection. The design of the 1.8 ha stormwater manager facility was critical to the project's success.
The facility was designed to provide both quality and quantity control for a total of approximately 70 ha. of proposed and recently developed residential lands in the southwest area of Barrie. The design incorporated OTTHYMO computer modeling based on a previously completed functional servicing report for the Ardagh Road development area. The facility included approximately 6,100 c.m. of storage volume for extended detention as well as imported clay berms required due to above grade construction. The design included the additional consideration for fill permit from the NVCA and discharge into the Bear Creek wetlands. This project, in addition to City approvals, was subject to approvals from NVCA and MOE, which were subsequently granted.
